Our experts

Experts who answer the question you were afraid to ask.

Named, credentialed, practising. Here is who they are.

Liz Mwendwa

Founder and Femtor, HerWell Africa.

Liz Mwendwa founded HerWell Africa and leads it as its Femtor: a female mentor, and the woman who holds the room together.

With a background in counselling, sociology and management, Liz brings a combination of people-centred understanding, professional experience and practical leadership to the conversations that matter to women. She understands that women’s wellbeing is rarely about one issue in isolation: our health, relationships, finances, emotions and sense of purpose are deeply interconnected.

As a Femtor, Liz is not there to be the expert on everything. Her role is to convene the right experts, create honest and meaningful conversations, ask the questions women are sometimes afraid to ask, and make sure that every woman leaves with something practical she can understand, reflect on and act on.

She is also the first point of contact for HerWell, whether you are looking for a seat at an upcoming conversation, have a question, or would like to bring a HerWell conversation to your own workplace, women’s group, church, community or circle of friends.

Liz’s philosophy is simple: women do not need to navigate every season alone. Sometimes we just need the right room, the right conversation and the right people around us.

The expert circle

HerWell is not one clinic’s view of women’s health. It is built on individual experts in their own fields: endocrinologists, gynaecologists, dietitians, physiotherapists and fitness coaches, counsellors and therapists, financial advisers, lawyers. Each leads the conversation they are qualified for, under their own name.

If you are one of them, we would like to hear from you. Tell us who you are and what you do; Liz will come back to you.
